If parenting feels harder than you expected, you’re not failing, something deeper might be asking for care

You love your child. You want to be the kind of parent who shows up with patience, presence, and warmth.

But sometimes, no matter how hard you try, you find yourself shutting down, snapping, or feeling completely overwhelmed.

Maybe you freeze when your child has big emotions, or you feel triggered by the very things you swore you’d do differently. Maybe you're exhausted from being so attuned to everyone else's needs that you've lost track of your own.

Parenting has a way of bringing up everything we haven’t fully healed - not because we’re broken, but because it’s an invitation to break old cycles.

You Didn’t Think Parenting Would Be So Emotionally Difficult

Do any of the following sound like you?

You feel ashamed or guilty about how quickly you get overwhelmed or dysregulated.
You feel emotionally numb, checked out, or exhausted most of the time.
You feel regret after snapping at your kids, even though you didn’t mean to.
You feel triggered by your child’s needs, cries, or emotions and don’t always know why.
You feel scared that your own trauma might be affecting your parenting.
You feel so focused on everyone else that your own needs barely register.
You feel like parenting is supposed to come naturally, but for you, it doesn’t.

You’re not a bad parent. You’re a human being who deserves support, healing, and space to tend to what’s underneath the surface.

Imagine parenting from a place of more calm, connection, and compassion for your child and yourself

Feel more regulated when challenges arise.
Respond with intention, not just reaction.
Trust your ability to be the parent your child needs.
Feel less guilt and more groundedness.
Start attuning to your own emotions, not just your child’s.
Create space to enjoy parenting, not just survive it.

You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be present enough, and supported enough, to meet this moment with care.

Parenting therapy helps you shift from survival mode to self-attunement

A lot of the parents I work with come in thinking they just need better tools or strategies. But what we often discover together is that the real work isn’t about “fixing” your parenting, it’s about healing the parts of you that didn’t get what they needed.

I work relationally and somatically, helping you notice what’s happening in your nervous system and body, especially when parenting feels triggering or overwhelming.

We slow down. We get curious. We listen to what your system is trying to protect you from, and from that place, you start building the capacity to respond, not react, to your child and to yourself.

start. explore. support. practice.

How Parenting Therapy Works

1

Start where you are, not where you think you “should” be

This isn’t about judgment or performance. It’s about meeting you in the realness of your parenting experience - the beauty and the mess.

2

Explore what’s being triggered and why

We’ll look at the patterns that show up in your parenting, where they come from, and how your own story is being activated.

3

Support your nervous system through somatic tools and EMDR

Parenting isn’t just emotional - it’s physiological. We’ll work with the body to build more safety, capacity, and regulation.

4

Practice being the parent you needed

You’ll start to shift from reacting to old wounds into consciously creating new relational patterns - ones that honor both your child and your inner world.

let go of perfection

You’re allowed to be a work-in-progress
and a good parent

There’s so much pressure to get it “right” - to be calm, gentle, emotionally available at all times. But healing happens when we let go of perfection and get honest about what’s hard. Parenting doesn’t have to feel like a constant overwhelm.
You don’t have to carry the weight of your own healing alone.
